Our love of this breed covers a span of more than twenty two years. Starting with our first Borzoi Heidi, Lauri and I both knew we had found family. These animals are much more than dogs. Their dignity, grace and devotion simply puts them in a class of their own.
Though North Woods Borzoi is a relatively small kennel, we are responsible breeders. To have a correct and recognizible Borzoi breeding program takes years. We have been so fortunate in the mentoring we have received from Karen Staudt-Cartabona, Majenkir Borzoi, Barbara Todd, Zcerlov Borzoi, and Rita Walker, Jantar Borzoi . They have generously shared knowledge from their years of experience and welcomed us to join in their breeding programs. These breeders have produced some of the finest Borzoi in the world.
Quite simply, our dogs are members of our family -- or perhaps we are members of their pack.
